RSVP In this class we'll learn the ins and outs of creating flesh tones that are anything but straight-out-of-the-bottle. We’ll be going through not only how to create flesh tones, but other techniques for achieving flesh tones such as how to use washes of primary colour to build tone, warm and cool values, and working wet-on-wet. In this class we’ll be covering: —Creating Flesh Tones —Basic Colour Theory —Using Washes —Warm and Cool tones —Wet-on-Wet Material Requirements -Pencil -Recommended High H Pencil -Watercolour Paper -Recommended White Chalk, oil pastel, or crayon (colourless wax from a candle or anything around the house with hard , colourless or white. wax on it is ok if you don't have these) -Any Watercolour Brush (es) -- Watercolours: Red, Blue, Yellow (necessary), Burnt Umber, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna (strongly recommended) Recommended Subsets: Cadmium Red, Alizarin Crimson, Cobalt or Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Yellow, Burnt Umber, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna Suggestion Windsor and Newton Sketchers Pocket Box, 14 pans has all these colours(see below)--likely sold at your local art shop, or google to find good deals in your area At the end we’ll have a show and tell (for those who feel comfortable showing their work) and the chance for a friendly group critique.
