Beginners' Watercolour Portraiture: Details

In this all levels class we'll be focussing on three key details in watercolour portraiture:--the eyes, nose, and lips--with simple, step-by-step paint along instructions
We'll be covering
--Drafting the structure of the eyes, nose, and lips
--Understanding light values in facial features
--Variation in human facial features
--Using colour to create realistic eyes, noses, and lips
--If we have time Drawing and painting ears
As always, this class is beginner-oriented with all levels welcome, including novices and more experienced artists. No previous experience in watercolours is required--and this class will include a variety of techniques for you to choose from in your own paintings. Basic Supplies: Watercolour (at least yellow, red, and blue); watercolour paper and brushes; pencil
Preferred Supplies: Watercolours including earth tones (Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, Yellow Ochre, Sepia); Alazarin Crimson/Rose/Madder; Primary Cyan/Cad Orange Medium; Cold Pressed Watercolour Paper 300gsm minimum; high H pencil
