Watercolours for Absolute Beginners

In this brand new beginners class we'll be learning all about using watercolours. From mixing colours to brush technique and special effects, this compact one hour class will have you ready to explore the medium in no time! A video recording of material covered in class as well as a fact sheet will be emailed to you before class so you can review all the material we'll be covering at your own leisure before or afterwards.
In this class we'll be covering
-Watercolour materials and symbols(cold vs. hot pressed paper; brushes; student vs. artist grade; transparency etc...)
-How to prepare your paper and paints
-Watercolour Technique; i.e. wet-on-wet, graduated/variegated washes, dry brushing, etc...
-Beginners colour mixing basics
-Understanding tone
Ann will be using a 12 set of Koh-i-Noor Anilinky Watercolours and Seawhite Watercolour Paper. While for this class you can use any watercolours you have on hand, we recommend beginners purchase the same Anilinky 12 set for upcoming paint-along classes (around £7).
