Full Course: Schiele Watercolours
Thursdays, February 11th to March 4th
19:00-21:00 UK Time (11AM-1PM US Pacific)
Learn to paint watercolours like Egon Schiele in this four part beginner's course celebrating both the famous artist and the human form. Taught by Ann Mackowski, the course will be divided into four classes:
February 11th: Schiele Watercolours 1: Form and Composition
February 18th: Schiele Watercolours 2: Reproduction + Colour Technique
February 25th: Schiele Watercolours 3: Nuance
March 4th: Schiele Watercolours 4: Integration
Classes will also be available on a drop-in basis. Classes will be recorded, so if you've signed up for the full course but are unable to attend one class or another, just e mail Ann and she'll send you the video.
Please bring some of the Following:
—Red, Yellow, and Blue Watercolours (minimum), Earth Tones
--Crayons or Oil Pastels
----Paper (A3) Open to Interpretation. Standard Options: A3 Watercolour Paper (white) + Heavy Brown craft Paper (any size): Experimental Alternatives: Paper Bags, Butchers Paper, Cardboard, Packing Paper
--White Chalk/Paint/Oil Pastel
--Watercolour Brushes Smooth (synthetic ok) + 1 medium, 1 small Hog's Bristle Brush or textural equivalent
--Sharpie or Similar
--Paintbrushes
--Watercolour Paper
--2-3 Cups Water
--Paper Towels/Rag/ Etc... for Wiping
--Pencil and Eraser
--RECOMMENDED: Hair Dryer
Please e mail Ann (above) with any questions about materials. If you're buying brushes for the first time, go for the least expensive options--Schiele was not one for nuance so be prepared to treat your brushes roughly
