In this lively beginner's class we'll be reproducing Schiele's watercolour painting style by using mixed mediums and taking an in-depth look at some of his watercolour works. You can expect to leave the class with a greater understanding of the history and developments of Schiele's metier, and how to use colours and your brush to achieve similar effects--and with some fabulous paintings. In this class we'll cover

-Using your brush to Create Texture
-Reproducing Schiele's Colour Techniques
Previous classes are not necessary, but if you would like further instruction on Schiele's work, Egon Schiele: Man and Method and videos as part of our four-class series on the artist will be available on request
Please bring:
—Red, Yellow, and Blue Watercolours (minimum), Earth Tones
--Crayons or Oil Pastels
----Paper (A3) Open to Interpretation. Standard Options: A3 Watercolour Paper (white) + Heavy Brown craft Paper (any size): Experimental Alternatives: Paper Bags, Butchers Paper, Cardboard, Packing Paper
--White Chalk/Paint/Oil Pastel
--Watercolour Brushes Smooth (synthetic ok) + 1 medium, 1 small Hog's Bristle Brush or textural equivalent
--Sharpie or Similar
--Paintbrushes
--Watercolour Paper
--2-3 Cups Water
--Paper Towels/Rag/ Etc... for Wiping
--Pencil and Eraser
--RECOMMENDED: Hair Dryer
