Coffee, tea, red wine, beets, cabbage…these aren’t just groceries, but rather the materials you can use to create beautiful paintings with if the urge to paint strikes you when you're not close to art materials; on a stretched budget; or simply looking for an organic way to paint.
Taught by Ann Mackowski, whose coffee paintings have been shown around the world and were featured on Sky Landscape Artist of the Year, in this class she'll be teaching you how to use the unique properties of this caffeinated medium to create breathtaking figure paintings.
She’ll be teaching you how to:
-Mix and Distill Coffee for Painting
-The Unique Properties of Coffee as a Painting Medium
-Drafting and Completing Full Paintings
To join, please bring
-A paint brush
-Coffee and/or Tea.
Not a morning person? No worries, just bring red wine. The use is a touch different, but will leave you with fabulous paintings nonetheless.
At the end of the class Ann will be giving some guidance as to how to distill other organic mediums, such as beets and cabbage, to add colour to your paintings.
Watercolour paper works best, but is not necessary.
