There’s nothing like a beautiful watercolour painting. In this fun, engaging and welcoming beginner’s class you’ll learn the basics of watercolour techniques through presentation and exercises building up to some poses. For this class, we’ll be using basic colours, so as long as you have red, yellow and blue you'll be fine.
We'll be covering
—Brushstrokes
—“Picking Up” Paint
—Wet-on-Wet/Wet-on-Dry/Gradients
—Values
Please bring a hair dryer, brushes, paper towels/rags for wiping brushes, watercolour paper or other thick paper and watercolours.
At the end we’ll have a show and tell (for those who feel comfortable showing their work) and the chance for a friendly group critique. If you’re shy or want a more in-depth critique of your work, feel free to e mail one or two images to Ann at the end of the class who will provide you with visual corrections.
